Front Mission Japan gameplay is a turn-based strategy RPG developed by Square. Players control a squad of mechs, known as Wanzers, in tactical battles against enemy forces. The core objective is to complete missions by destroying or capturing enemy units while managing resources and upgrading your Wanzers.
One of the key mechanics is the part-based damage system. Each part of your Wanzer—arms, legs, and torso—can be damaged or destroyed, affecting movement, attack, and defense. This adds a layer of strategic depth, as players must consider not only their attacks but also the durability and positioning of each part to survive and succeed in missions.
